Meet Paul Kari, Our Heroic Patient

Jul 30, 2019

Every time a new patient enters our office, our staff at Hutta & Cook Orthodontics loves getting to know them and learn about their stories. Last week, we were so blessed to have met Paul Kari, an extraordinary patient who is beginning his orthodontic journey to get the smile he’s always dreamed of having. Paul is 83 years young, the author of the book, The Strength to Endure, and an Air Force veteran who survived nearly eight years as a POW in Vietnam.

This Independence Day, we are highlighting Paul’s courageous spirit and his incredible story to thank those who fought, sacrificed, and persevered for keeping all of us free. We are so privileged to know Paul. And, it is truly an honor to be able to provide a beautiful, healthy smile transformation for someone as inspiring, heroic, and deserving as Paul.

The Strength to Endure

This Fourth of July, we hope you’ll take the time to learn more about Paul’s story in The Strength to Endure. His memoir is a courageous tale, rooted in the power of resilience, hope, and faith. The Strength to Endure recounts Paul’s life—from his early childhood in Ohio, to the horrors of captivity in Vietnam, to life with family following his release. Inspirational and honest, this memoir embodies the spirit of freedom so aptly represented by Independence Day, and we hope you’ll enjoy learning about Paul’s incredible story for yourself.
