HOME > PATIENT RESOURCES > FIRST VISIT
We look forward to meeting you at your initial visit. A knowledgeable and friendly Treatment Coordinator will greet you in the lobby followed by a tour of the office. One stop during the tour is our diagnostic records room where we perform digital x-rays, which use less radiation than traditional x-rays. We will request current panoramic x-rays from your general dentist and will update them if necessary.
The new patient initial exam is scheduled for one hour and is at no cost to you. The Treatment Coordinator will review your health history and concerns, update x-rays, take a series of digital diagnostic photographs and brief the doctor. You will then meet one of our board certified orthodontists, Dr. Hutta or Dr. Cook, who will perform a careful analysis of the diagnostic records, take dental measurements during his thorough examination, and sit down to discuss treatment concerns and options with you.
Before leaving the office, you will receive a unique and comprehensive treatment plan, a review of your insurance benefits as well as options for treatment time and payment. We will help assist with maximizing any flex spending or health savings benefits you have. If the orthodontist indicates that treatment is necessary, we can save you time by completing your first step that same day.
We will follow the initial exam with a letter outlining findings and treatment recommendations mailed to you, your general dentist, and any dental specialists involved with your care. Our goal as a practice is to make our patients feel welcome and comfortable each and every visit. We hope your initial visit to Hutta & Cook Orthodontics is the first of many fabulous experiences you will have with our practice.
